1. What professions are most popular among the
youth in your country?
There are
quite a few jobs that that are pretty much
popular among the youth in my nation.
Most of them are related to IT and technology. For
example, in my
teeny tiny hometown you can
find
lots
of people
learning
graphic design and software
engineering. Because, they know that these types of
jobs are really
in high demand, and they are really
profitable
as opposed to
other jobs.
On top of that, teaching english has
gained popularity
recently. A lot of people,
even older people are
learning English. I guess English is the future
2. How do youngsters usually choose a career?
Basically, youngsters choose a career path in two
different ways.
One is they usually go for a job
purely out of their
interest, because of their passion, because of their
interests. And I feel like
these types of youngsters
are
likely to be
successful in the future because they
usually turn their interests into a job, and in the future
they will not be working actually, they will be enjoying
the process, they will be enjoying the work.
The second way is that some youngsters usually
go for
a
job because of the income, because of its impressive
salary maybe, and I don't think these types of
youngsters tend to be
as successful as
those who are
going for a job because of their interests
3. Do you think that schools should offer
career advice to students?
Yeah I do think so. I
firmly believe that it'd be great
because
once
students graduate from high school,
they may be
in a dilemma, they may not know
which career path to go for. So, if there is
career
consultation in schools, that'd be great. Because, if
students choose a right career path
so
they may
save
lots of time and money, and they may not be
disappointed
at the end of the day.
4. Do you think the way we work will change in
the future?
I'm not entirely sure about it, frankly. But,
if I were to
speculate
, I'd say "yes" most jobs will be
more
automated and less manual.
This is mainly because technology is developing at an
unprecedented level, right? it's really unbelievable to
some extent. Jobs that
require physical tasks and
routine data processing can be replaced by robots or
by technology such as data analysts, drivers and
construction workers.
On top of that
, some jobs can be done online in the
future and some people
can find online jobs really
flexible and convenient, and they can work
in their
comfort zone
