Everybody agrees that age is a crucial factor in language learning. However to which extent age is an important factor still remains an open question. A plethora of elements can influence language learning: biological factors, mother tongue, intelligence, learning surroundings, emotions, motivation and last but not least: the age factor.

Now it is very easy to learn a language, because there are various manuals on it, it was not difficult even at the age of ten.

20. Foreign language anxiety is caused by three factors related to performance: 1) fear of negative evaluation, 2) communication apprehension, and 3) test anxiety.

21 Ausubel described 2 types of learning: rote learning and meaningful learning. Tell the difference between them.

Rote learning refers to things that can be, or are memorized, usually by continued repetition, and does not require/involve understanding. ... Meaningful or conceptual learning refers to learning with understanding attached; it is the ability to relate new information to prior knowledge.
