I.Introduction


Currently, not only traditional programming languages, but also Mathad and other similar special mathematical programs are often used for scientific and technical calculations on computers. This, in turn, allows for rapid implementation of transitions to the subtleties of programming mathematical models.
Energy storage improves the efficiency and reliability of the electric utility system. The most common device used for storing electrical energy is batteries. To investigate power converter-based charge and discharge control of a battery storage device, effective battery models are critically needed [1], [2], …, [3].
The relation between mathematical and circuit-oriented battery models is analyzed in the paper. Comparison study is made to investigate the difference and complexity in parameter extraction using the two different modeling approaches. The paper shows that the fundamental battery electromechanical relationship is usually built into the battery mathematical model but is not directly available in the circuit-oriented model. In terms of the computational complexity, the circuit-oriented battery model requires much expensive computing resources [4], [5], …, [9].
When analyzing the modes of power supply systems, it is necessary to solve large systems of linear and non-linear equations. Functional safety is of great importance for electric and hybrid electric vehicles [10].
At the same time, when analyzing the stability of power supply systems, it is necessary to use numerical methods to solve algebraic equations of any order and to find the roots of these equations, taking into account their specific characteristics in relation to the power supply system. This determines the content of the concept of "Mathematical modeling in power supply systems".
