In 1888, the artist Vincent van Gogh moved into a bright yellow house. It was in Arles, France. He created his 
famous The Bedroom paintings there. There are three versions of The Bedroom . The first one was painted in 
1888. However, a flood damaged it. So, Van Gogh’s brother asked him to repaint it. 
Van Gogh painted the second picture in 1889. A few weeks later, he painted it a third time because he liked it 
so much. All three paintings are similar. They have the same furniture. There are two chairs, a bed, and a 
desk. Clothes are hanging from hooks. But the paintings on the walls are different. Van Gogh liked hanging

How do we know about dinosaurs? Fossils teach us! Fossils are things from ancient plants and animals. 
They are found in rocks. Scientists learn from bone and teeth fossils. They use leg bones to guess a dinosaur’s 
height. Teeth fossils tell what dinosaurs ate. Sharp teeth are from meat eaters. But flat teeth are from plant 
eaters. Footprint fossils show how dinosaurs walked and ran. Some dinosaurs walked on two feet. Others 
walked on four feet. When a dinosaur ran, it left footprints far apart. Egg fossils show that dinosaurs came 
from eggs. Many dinosaurs made nests on the ground for their eggs. In 1993, scientists found a dinosaur 
fossil. It was sitting on eggs like a bird! Dinosaurs died long ago. But we still learn about them from their 
fossils.
