Secondly, the world s economic factors are essential for Apple as it is a multinational company. With the distribution of vaccines, the world s economy is expected to recover faster. The global economy is expected to grow 5.5% in 2021 and 4.2% in 2022. The recovery of the economy worldwide is an opportunity for Apple in terms of expansion.
Moreover, the growth rates of developing countries seem more important for Apple. For instance, Apples revenue in the Asia Pacific countries was 15,199 million dollars in 2017, while it grew to 19,593 million dollars in 2020. As a result, both global and local economic growth is playing an important role for Apple.

3.3. Socio-cultural factors:

Thirdly, Apples profitability is affected by socio-cultural factors to a great extent. Surprisedly, Apple reported earnings and growth in every segment and geography (the revenue was up 11%) despite the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This is the result of the global remotely working and studying, people need devices to support working, learning, and playing. In particular, MacBook and iPad units are benefiting due to the current social change. Thereby, the rising need for devices is an opportunity for Apple.
