Step
Go to Test communications Testing ABB Totalflow to field device communications Devices supported by the ABB Totalflow interface A controller is any device, including RTU or Flow Computer, that is communicating using the ABB Totalflow protocol. For ABB Totalflow, the server supports the FCU device. The server communicates with ABB Totalflow controllers by way of the DB2 protocol. Architectures for ABB Totalflow The server supports communications to ABB Totalflow controllers via serial or TCP connections. If your system has Backup Control Center (BCC), see the “Special considerations for BCC” section of "Server Redundancy" in the Server and Client Planning Guide. Serial connection by Terminal Server The server supports Single or dual link Terminal Server connections to the controller, with supported device Systech NDS5000 or NDS 6000 series. It is expected that, during normal operation when both networks are available, the controller can respond to requests on either network connection at any time.
