BIOGRAPHY
Anuja Sonalker was born on the 29
th
of April, 1979 in the commercial capital of India –
Mumbai. She grew up on a the island country of Bahrain also
known as the Pearl of the
Gulf. She completed her schooling from one of the most prestigious schools – the
Indian
School, Bahrain. She joined Bhavan’s College, Mumbai in 1995 and went on to complete
her bachelors in Instrumentation from Vidyavardhini’s College of Engineering and
Technology, Mumbai in 2000. Soon after, she joined the
Masters program in Computer
Engineering at North Carolina State University in the fall of 2000 where she had the
privilege of working under the guidance of Dr. Gregory T. Byrd.

I would like to sincerely thank Dr Gregory T. Byrd, my advisor,
for his continuous
support, valuable guidance and patience throughout my years with him. Working with Dr
Byrd has been a very good learning experience for me. I appreciate all the time he has
given me for our discussions which have been sources of innovative ideas for me. I
appreciate the persevering efforts he took along with me to help me draft a good thesis.
I would
like to thank my manager, Ken Vu from IBM, for his expert insight, professional
