Research methods: observation, economic analysis, comparative and statistical methods were used in the research work.
The obtained results and their novelty: the proposal to increase the efficiency of the use of ecological tourism places of the Surkhandarya region was substantiated; The expediency of ensuring the structure and functions of the infrastructure and continuous operation of the system in the use of regional ecotourism resources was justified. The appropriateness of planning features in the use of ecotourism resources of Surkhandarya region was justified. Directions for increasing the use of ecotourism resources for the development of the regional economy, providing employment to the local population, and especially increasing the income of the rural population have been developed. In the development of tour routes to regional ecotourism resources, the analysis of the state of tourism infrastructure and the action plan for its improvement, the proposal to optimize the seasonality of the demand for ecotourism products were based. The importance of the program for the development and localization of private entrepreneurship in the effective use of ecotourism resources was justified.
Practical importance: Due to the increasing demand for ecological tourism places, it is of great importance to determine the natural reserves of recreation resources in their natural state.

Level of implementation and economic efficiency: the conclusions and proposals developed during the research are recommended to be used by enterprises and institutions in the use of ecotourism resources of Surkhondarya region to develop tour routes, purchase tourism products, and increase economic and efficiency.
