Everyone who is alive makes several mistakes and gathers experience through it during his or her life. I think that one of the best ways to make right decisions for your future is by learning from your past.

I remember that when I was 14 years old I participated in English knowledge competition among other schools. So, in the the contest I lost because of unfair judges. It was much stressful for me since I was always expected winning as I do my best to achieve the goal. I was so angry that I even stopped learning English. I started wasting my time by playing video instead of doing homework. I also convinced myself not to dream or plan for anything big since my heart could get broken again. This lasted almost 2 years.

Thankfully, by passing time I realized that I was killing my dreams by giving up on something I loved. So I joined extra English lessons. I knew that acquiring English can help me to travel around the world and learn other countries cultures and traditions.

As a result of this right decision, now I have two language proficiency certificates. Also last year I won 1^st place in challenge which held among pupils of 54 schools. The best lesson that I learnt is that when we make decisions based on our past habits, we destroy our opportunities and greatest changes in our lives. I simply ask myself “How did that affect me”. As I understand that, I try to change my mindset and pet big goals to gain in the future.
