I. You are required to make a practical research according to the last four topics: Article, Pronoun, Numerals, Adjective and Adverb. You have to search these topics in Advanced Grammar books ( from 5 literatures) and give lists of learned information according to the questions:

II. Answer the following questions and complete the sentences. Don't copy!

 

1. What is a pronoun?



  A pronoun can replace a noun or another pronoun. You use pronouns like “he”, “which”, “none”, and “you” to make your sentences less cumbersome and less repetitive.

 

 2. Where should a pronoun generally be placed in a sentence? Why?



  Pronouns take the place of nouns. When taking the place of a noun, pronoun have the same semantic value not only as the noun, but usually as the whole noun phrase. The reference is semantic and preserves the gender and the number (for languages where these categories exist).

 

 



3. Name seven personal pronouns.

  Subject pronouns: I, YOU, WE, HE, SHE, IT, THEY.

Object pronouns: ME, YOU, US, HIM, HER, IT, THEM

 

 



4. Name four demonstrative pronouns.

12. What is a reflexive pronoun? Provide an example in a sentence.



  A reflexive pronoun refers to a noun or another pronoun and indicates thatthe same person or thing is involved. Reflexive pronouns are formed by adding -self or -selves to certain personal and possessive pronouns.

  The intensive pronoun is a pronoun that adds emphasis to a noun or pronoun already named.

  Demonstrative Pronouns are used to show or identify one or a number of nouns that may be far or near in distance or time. They are only four in number: This, That, These and Those.

  Interrogative pronouns are qiestion words used to enquire about person or thing that we do not know about. An interrogative pronoun is used when asking questions. It take the place of subject or object in the sentences.

16. What is an indefinite pronoun? Provide an example in a sentence.

 

  Pronouns which are not known which nouns are used are called indefinite pronouns.

17. What is an adjective pronoun? Provide an example in a sentence.

  An adjective pronoun is an adjective used as a pronoun. The adjective pronouns are:1. Each, either, and neither, which relate to objects taken singly.

An emphasizing adjectives lay stress on the proceeding noun.

An exclamatory adjectives is apart of speech. Exclamatory adjective is a word that shows emotin so it is used with noun.

Relative adjectives describe objects indirectly, through their relations to other objects.

It is my daily habit.



V. Write a short paragraph to describe someone you know well. Use at least ten compound adjectives in your paragraph. (about 50 words).
My favorite teacher is always smiling and child-wanted women. Her friendly approach is very much liked by everyone in the class. She is very enthuasiastic to teach and clears all our doubts whenever we ask questions in her classes. She is a middle-aged and she does not scold or beat us in the class unnecessarily. I also want to be a teacher like her.
