If you are not yet able to determine your departure date, please enter the presumable date for your departure. Under the German Registration Act, you are required to register stays of more than two months with the local registration office (including address) within one week.

Supplemental changes made directly on the KONUS Guest Card will render it invalid for public transportation. 4. KONUS is only valid for people. It does not cover free transportation for animals or bicycles. To that end, the respective tariff provisions from the transport companies and associations apply accordingly. 5. KONUS is only valid in connection with a valid photo ID of the person whose name appears on the KONUS Guest Card. That person must also be personally present when the KONUS Guest Card is being used by a group. If electronically issued, each guest will receive his/ her own personal guest card and must show it upon request when travelling on public transportation. 6. The KONUS Guest Card is not transferrable. 7. If you have registered as a group, yet wish to use the KONUS as a ticket for individual group members, then you can present your KONUS Guest Card and your photo ID to the local Tourist Information Office or Town Hall to receive tickets for individual members of the group. This does not apply for KONUS Guest Cards that have been produced electronically. 8. Groups of 10 persons or more travelling together must be registered with transportation companies at least 3 days prior to beginning the journey. You can receive a list with the addresses of the transportati- on companies from the local Tourist Information Office or Town Hall. 9. KONUS is valid starting on the day of arrival upon arriving at your accommodation provider (check-in) until the day of departure. KONUS can be used for the departure journey, but not for the arrival journey. 10. You can obtain information on the participating transportation associations, regional limits and the KONUS region from your accommodation provider and/or the local Tourist Information Offices, or on the Internet at www.blackforest-tourism.com/konus. If your journey exits the KONUS region, then the regular transporta- tion fee must be paid starting from the final location in the KONUS region. Please be sure to comply with these Terms and Conditions as well as the general transportation terms and conditions of the participating transportation associations and overlapping transportation companies. Non-compliance is subject to a transportation fee of at least EUR 40.00.

The community currently pays a flat rate of 35 cents per overnight from the visitor’s tax to the transporta- tion association. 1. With your registration with your host in one of the participa- ting holiday destinations you will receive the Schwarzwald- Gästekarte. The Schwarzwald-Gästekarte replaces the local spa card and allows entrance to many facilities at a reduced price in the Black Forest. The Schwarzwald-Gästekarte with the KONUS-symbol serves as a ticket for the local transport system and also offers many other services. The KONUS Guest Card is valid during the registered period of time of your stay in all busses and trains of the participating associations of transport companies (look for participating associations of transport companies) as a 2nd class ticket as well as in the streetcars and busses of the cities Freiburg and Karlsruhe. Exceptions are ICE-, IC and EC connections as well as mountain railways and funiculars. Travel low-cost and fast to the Black Forest There is hardly no other holiday region that is so easy to reach as the Black Forest. The airports Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Lahr, Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg in the west as well as – a bit further away – Stuttgart and Friedrichshafen in the east make a low- cost journey to the region possible with national and interna- tional low-cost carriers. The ICE railway line Frankfurt-Basel, the Höllentalbahn, the Schwarzwaldbahn, the Murgtalbahn as direct connections from the west to the east as well as the local transport system of busses make it easy to travel to the destinations in the 11,000 square kilometre large region.
