Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome have extraordinary brilliance and influence, which 
explains their spread not only in English, but also in other languages of the world. 
As one of the works translated into the Uzbek language, Alexander Dumas's work 
"The Count of Monto Cristo or the Prisoner of the If Castle" uses various phraseological 
units. We explain them as follows: 
1) But one- only then. But one comes as a simple word combination in Uzbek 
language. 
2) It's well - very good. In the Uzbek language, this combination cannot be a 
phraseological unit, it appears as a simple word. 
3) What's a matter? This English phraseological unit is translated in the form of a 
simple sentence in Uzbek and corresponds to this meaning. 
4) Very well as far as I could judge from the sight of him- as far as I know, he is 
healthy. This phrase does not correspond to any phrase in the Uzbek language, 
it is translated as a simple sentence. 
5) Good luck to you. This phrase does not correspond to any phrase in the Uzbek 
language. It is translated in the form of a simple sentence. 
6) I hope to see you again soon - bye. In Uzbek, this phrase corresponds to a simple 
exclamation. 
7) Struggling with the demon of hatred This expression corresponds to the Uzbek 
idiom zhizganak bolmak. 
8) Cheer up - calm down. This phrase corresponds to the command verb in the 
Uzbek language. 
9) Excuse me - I'm sorry. This phrase is equivalent to a word in the Uzbek language. 
10) With love. This phrase corresponds to an indefinite verb in the Uzbek language. 
11) Face became so joyes - he opened his face. This phrase corresponds to the 
Uzbek verb "to be happy".

As you can see, almost none of the English expressions corresponded to the 
expressions in the Uzbek language. It is translated into Uzbek as a simple sentence, word, 
and sometimes as a phrase. This shows that there are differences between the Uzbek 
language and other foreign languages. 
In conclusion, we also use expressions in our lifestyle. This indicates that the 
expressions are equally available to everyone, they are kept in the same form in everyone's 
mind, and lexically as well. It can be seen that there are differences between Uzbek and 
English expressions. The reason is that phrases in English do not always correspond to 
phrases in Uzbek. Phrases in English are translated into Uzbek in the form of a simple word,
