But the combination "
qandaghi yot yoghiy" used here does not fully correspond to the
truth about Shaibani Khan's historical series. Because this country is the motherland for
Abulkhairkhan and Uzbeks. From an objective point of view, this story is about the transfer
of the throne from one Uzbek clan to another. However, Babur used the phrase "where is
an enemy" in relation to Shaibani Khan as a claimant to the throne in a moment of defeat
and allowed a little subjectivity. In this combination there is an attempt to humiliate the
opponent. In the translated text, translated as "A foreign robber, one knew not whence",
ignorance of such fine points is clearly felt. In addition, the translation adds the phrase "one
knew not whence". In this case, the translator uses one of the main conversion methods,
the addition method. Although it does not harm the content of the original text, it is known to
allow creativity in the translated text.
The following: "some foreign fat Uzbek came and became a host. The sentence
"Ilikdin kheng mulkni...", in translation: "A foreign robber, one knew not whence he came,
had seized the kingdom, which dropped from our hands" (MT) This sentence is given simply
and clearly in the original text, the translator added a little to it, but turned the simple
sentence into a compound sentence, making it a little difficult for the reader to understand
the text. As a result, the attempts to preserve the pragmatic features of the text are
invalidated. The simple style of the author turns into a complex style, a pragmatic
inconsistency comes to the field.
In the translation of A. Beveridge: "Samarkand had been the capital of our dynasty.
An alien, and of what stamp! An Auzbeg foe, had taken possession of it! It had slipped from
our hands; God gave it again! plundered and ravaged, our own returned to us" translated as
"gave back" (MT). The author uses the combination "kandagi yot yogyi" when giving
comparative images, and in the translation, this combination is separated and translated as
"An alien, and of what stamp!" Even A.S. Beveridge could not recreate the translation in the
translation exactly as the author expressed it. The translator separates each of such
compounds in the sentences and turns the indicative sentences into exclamatory sentences.
