Catalogue of elective modules/disciplines (CED) is the systematized annotated list of all modules/elective disciplines containing their short description with the indication of the purpose of study, the summary (main sections) and the expected results of study (knowledge acquired by students, abilities, skills and competences).

Competences are the ability of students to apply the knowledge, skills acquired in the training process. Competences, being a dynamic combination of knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities, can be formed as a result of studying different disciplines and evaluated at different stages.

Elective component is the list of educational disciplines and corresponding minimum amounts of credits (or academic hours) offered by higher educational institutions, independently chosen by students in any academic period, taking into account their prerequisits and postrequisites.
University component is the list of disciplines defined by the university and approved by the Board of Studies within the educational programs that ensure the formation of personal, practical, professional skills and competencies taking into account the needs of employers, as well as moral values and socio-cultural thinking.

Credit mobility is transfer of students for a limited period of study or internship abroad - as part of ongoing study at their native university - in order to accumulate academic credits (after the phase of mobility, students return to their educational organization to complete their studies).
