4. Independent work of students4.1 According to the credit training technology, the independent work of students (IWS) is divided into two parts: into independent work, which is supervised be the lecturer (IWSsL, IWMsL, IWDsL), and into that part, which is carried out independently by students (IWS, IWM, IWD - IWS itself). 4.2 The whole volume of IWS is confirmed by tasks requiring daily independent work of the students. 4.3 Independent work supervised be the lecturer is an out-of-auditorium type of work of students, which is performed by him/her in contact with the teacher. Independent work supervised be the lecturer (IWSsL) is carried out according to a separate schedule, which is not included in the general schedule of training sessions. IWSsL includes consultations on the most complex issues of the curriculum, the fulfillment of individual and group tasks, course projects (works), control of semester works, reports and other types of IWS tasks. A description of all types of independent work should be presented in the study guide, including a schedule for completing tasks. 4.4 The student visits the IWSsL if there are questions on tasks fulfillment and it is necessary to obtain teacher’s consultations. The presence of the teacher in the audience according to the schedule of the ISWsL is mandatory. 5. Scientific research/experimental research work of the students5.1 The research work of students (RWS) is a mandatory, integral part of the qualified specialists training at the university as an inseparable component of a single process: educational and scientific-innovative. Coordination of the RWS organization and management is carried out by the supervising vice-rector for science. 5.2 Three main types of organization of NIRS are identified for problem solution system. 5.2.1. Research work (RW) is built into the educational process, the main task of which is to activate the learning process on the principle: the higher the stage is, the more independent work becomes. The content of this type of scientific work is the study of literature, the preparation of abstracts, reports, course papers and projects containing scientific and research sections. The heads of the graduating departments ensure the students’ research work included in the curricula. 5.2.2. Research that complements the educational process. Here, the main task is to go beyond the framework of the training program, individualize the training process, and create conditions for ensuring the continuity of training in Master's or PhD studies. The content of scientific work at this stage is Olympiads, competitions, scientific conferences, seminars, and round tables. Creative groups are made up under the guidance of a scientific supervisor by the rector’s order to organize this type of SRW. The supervisor gathers a creative group of students who want to be engaged in applied, methodological and search scientific research. 5.2.3. Research work parallels with the learning process. The main task is the scientific professionalization of students under the guidance of highly qualified teachers and scientific staff, that is, specialization, preparation for a specific field of scientific activity, and the choice of scientific supervision. 5.2.4. Research (experimental research) work is part of the educational programs of Master's and PhD studies. It includes the preparation of scientific publications based on the results of research and the implementation of a Master's/PhD thesis. Master’s program students of the profile direction carry out a Master's project. 5.3 Research (experimental research) work is carried out under the guidance of a supervisor/consultant, appointed within two months after admission of a Master's student/PhD student by order of the rector on the basis of the Board of Studies decision. The supervisor/consultant of the Master’s/PhD program student should have a degree and actively engage in scientific research in this branch of science, have scientific publications in relevant issues that have a non-zero impact factor. 5.4 The research/experimental research work of the students should be reflected in the individual work plan for the entire training period, indicating the topic, field of the study, terms and reporting forms. Also plans for practices, the implementation of a Master's thesis, scientific publications and internships should be indicated in the individual work plan for the entire period. The individual Master's/PhD program student work plan is developed under the guidance of a supervisor/consultant. Scientific supervisors/consultants are responsible for well-timed and high-quality performance of all work types set in the individual work plan. 5.5 The research (experimental research) work of Master’s and PhD program students is distributed by the semesters, indicating the number of credits for each semester. At the end of each academic period, the Master’s and PhD program student defends the report at a meeting of the department/school with an assessment of the study results on a 100-point scale. The presence of a supervisor/consultant is mandatory. 5.6 Within the framework of research (experimental research) work, the individual work plan of a Master’s and PhD program student provides for mandatory completion of scientific internship in scientific organizations and/or organizations of relevant branches, or areas of activity, including abroad ones for PhD program students. The aim is to familiarize students with innovative technologies and new types of production. The internship program is developed in accordance with the direction of training and the individual work plan for the entire period. The norms for foreign internships financing are established by the relevant regulatory documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Download 170.79 Kb.
