1. Shashmaqam is a Central Asian musical genre (typical of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan ) which may have developed in the city of Bukhara . Shashmaqam means the six Maqams (modes) in the Persian
language, dastgah
being the name for Persian modes, and maqams being the name for
modes more generally.
Each year Uzbekistan celebrates seven public holidays: 1st of January – New Year, 8th of March – International Women's Day, 21st of March – Navruz, 9th of May – Memorial Day, 1st of September – Independence Day, 1st of October – Teacher's Day, 8th of December – Constitution Day.
It is served as a festive culinary tradition that forms part of a cultural heritage—for example, barbecues at summer camp or fondue at dinner parties—or as part of a religious practice, such as Korban Pesach or Iftar celebrations.
