During several years, linguists who are studying phraseology claim that phraseological units are national specific units that show the culture of peoples. They are valuable linguistic inheritance that illustrates culture, values, beliefs and morality of nations. B.A.Larin stated that phraseological units express people's opinions, social order and ideology of the period.7According to V.N. Telia: the'' phraseological composition of language is a ''mirror'' in which the linguistic cultural community identifies its national identity, namely the phraseological units impose a special vision of the world and situations on native speakers''8
Telia calls proverbs "direct cultural signs" and by this means proverbs believes that they are the factors that show the culture of the people:
After having described the interaction between language, culture and proverbs, it seems also important to mention the ways in which culture is implemented through language. Each culture has a set of proverbs that could be defined as basic, when they enter the lexicon and the language, it is possible they act as direct cultural signs. On the other hand, when linguistic symbolsinterpret
these cultural patterns, then these symbols transform themselves into bodies of those cultural patterns; in this case, language units acquire the status of standard. 9
V. A. Maslova stated that phraseological units show the evolution of nations' development and transmit national standarts, stereotypes and cultural specifics from generation to generation. Pondering about the link between culture and language, she made a hypothesis:
a) The ''traces'' of phrasemes, that is the reason of their origins should be identified;
b) If cultural facts are included in the phraseological units, it adds national and cultural expressiveness.
d) Understanding cultural and national implication is key to recognise cultural-national specificity.
"Phraseology is a fragment of the linguistic picture of the world. Phraseological units always address the subject, i.e., they emerge not so much in order to describe the world as to interpret, evaluate and express subjective attitude towards it" 10
Phraseological units, in the opinion of S.G. Ter-Minasova, play a significant part in the development of language and culture: The idiomatic layer of the language, i.e., in the layer which, by definition, is specific for each particular nation, stores the values, public morals, attitude to the world, to people and other nations. Idioms, proverbs and sayings illustrate the way of life as well as geographical location of a nation, the history and traditions of the community united by one culture.11
Idioms play a major role in identifying national and cultural characteristics, according to V.A. Maslova. They convey both the characterize of the language and the distinctiveness of the people; they are the soul of every national tongue. phrases that make sense are asked to comprehend, evaluate, and communicate our arbitrary perspective on the world around us, not just to describe it.12
Famos linguist Sapir claims that: Cultural factors are deeply interwoven with the language, and thus are morphologically and structurally reflected in the forms of the language.13
Phraseological units most fully and clearly reflect different facets of a particular people's life and living condition. Extralinguistic factors dominate the linguistic factors that define the semantic structure of phraseological units.The emergence of the anthropological paradigm has led to an increase in linguists' interest in the topic of national-cultural specifics of phraseological systems. The most culturally unique and significant language units in this sense are phraseological units.
We were able to categorize English and Uzbek phraseological units and identify several groups that represent cultural information thanks to the findings of Z.V. Korzyukova's analysis of the linguistic materials focusing on Kunin's classification:14
