Step 6 : Instruct students to read the text for the purpose of answering the questions, as well as to correct any misinformation previously recorded.
Step 7 : After the reading is completed, have students discuss and complete the third column on the right side of the paper.

Based on the experts above, there are many steps of KWL strategy that can be applied in the classroom. Actually, from the three steps experts‟ above are not much different, nearly have equations. However, from the three experts above the writer prefers to use basic steps from Ogle combining with steps from Crawford, because it‟s more simple and easy to apply in the classroom. Steps from Brunner are not much different from the steps of Crawford, but it‟s more difficult to implement. But no doubt the author uses a few steps from the Brunner. The KWL strategy steps which used to be applied in the research are as follow:

1. 
   Begin by naming the topic, and asking students to think of what they already know about it.
   
2. 
   Create a K-W-L chart on the chalk board or on chart paper.
   
3. 
   Ask students to call out what they know about the topic. Teacher may ask students to brainstorm words, terms, or phrases they associate with a topic. Then, the teacher and students record these associations in the column “K” of their charts. This is done until students run out of ideas. This step is called “What I Know”.
   
4. 
   Ask students to think of questions they have about the topic. They may begin by reviewing what they know, and finding areas where their knowledge is incomplete, ask students what they want to learn about the topic. The teacher and students record these questions in the column “W” of their charts. This is done until students run out of ideas for questions. If students respond with statements, help them to turn it into questions before recording them in the column “W”. This step iscalled “What I want to Know”.
   
5. 
   The students should now read the text. They are reminded to look for answers to their questions, and for any new ideas they did not anticipate.

   The students report the things they learned from the text. First they report answers they found to their questions, and then they report any other
   

interesting of important ideas they discovered. The teacher records these on the chart in the column “L”. This step is called “What I have Learned”.
