Choosing a Career
Questions:
How many percent of every year we are on the job? How many steps ‘career planning’ includes ? What should you do to know yourself? How important knowing yourself in your life? What is ‘wish list’? Why we need ‘finding out’ and what kind of contents includes in? What should you do to make a decision? What is ‘taking action’ and why we use of it? What kind of mistakes we should avoid when selecting a career? How important choosing a career in our life? Vocabulary: 1.process [noun]-a series of things that happen, especially ones that result in natural changes; 2.lifetime [noun]-the length of time that somebody lives or that something lasts; 3.action [what somebody does]- the process of doing something in order to make something happen or to deal with a situation; 4.decision [noun]-a choice or judgement that you make after thinking and talking about what is the best thing to do; 5.interest [wanting to knoe more]-the feeling that you have when you want to know or learn more about somebody or something; 6.idea [noun]-a plan, thought or suggestion, especially about what to do in a particular situation; 7.gather [come or bring together]-to come together, or bring people together, in one place to form a group; 8.explore [verb]-to travel to or around an area or a country in order to learn about it: 9.preference [noun]-a greater interest in or desire for somebody|something than somebody|something else; 10.occupation [noun]-a job or profession; 11.involve [verb]-if a situation, an event or an activity involves something, that thing is an important or necessary part or result of it; 12.fit [right size]-to be the right shape and size for somebody|something; 13.hinder [verb]-somebody|something to make it difficult for somebody to do something or something to happen; 14.labour [work]-work, especially physical work; 15.current [adjective]-happening now; of the present time; 16.value [how much something is worth]- how much something is worth in money or other goods for which it can be exchanged; 17.set [put]-to put something|somebody in a particular place or position; 18.relavent somebody-closely connected with the subject you are discussing or the situation you are thinking about; 19.significant [adjective]-large or important enough to have an effect or to be noticed; 20.footsteps [noun]-the sound or mark made each time your foot touches the ground when you walking or running; 21.haunt [verb]-if the ghost of a dead person haunts a place, people say that they have seen it there; 22.expectation [noun]-a belief that something will happen because it is likely; 23.pressure [when something presses]- the force or weight with which something presses against something else; 24.bias [noun]-a strong feeling in favour of or against one group of people, or one side in an argument, often not based on fair judgement; 25.satisfaction [see also dissatisfaction]-the act of fulfilling a need or desire; Download 21.92 Kb.
