Dear Sir/Madam,
I am submitting my cover letter for consideration for the Research in industrial Projects (RIPS) program at Los Angeles. I strongly believe that I would be a great participant in this excellent program as I have gained enough experience in both mathematics and computer programs.
Having a genuine interest in helping to solve real problems that affects the world such as economics. In my four years at Tashkent State University of Economics, I’ve completed a great deal of coursework on Statistics, Macroeconomic analysis and Mathematics, where I learned and applied skills such as calculations, problem solving and analytical skills.
After studying economics at TSUE, I realized that without proper innovative technologies, people's quality of life could not be improved and real world problems require new way of solving them. That is why I decided to dig deeper into the tech field. For ten months, I learned programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and databases. Although I had no background in computer software, my determination and passion for what I had begun helped me complete the course successfully. Now I am the only girl among ninety men employed as a backend developer at a local IT company. We work together on the Tenge24 mobile application that facilitates users with transactions, peer-to-peer payments, getting loans, and opening bank accounts. Currently, we have more than 290,000 active users, making nearly 1.8 billion sums of daily transactions in total. Working with team helped me grow my skills in team collaboration, verbal communication and project leadership.
The RIPS program gives me an excellent opportunity to advance in my career and grow personally. It would be a privilege to work alongside peers who are determined and focused on their goals, exploring new methods and technologies to create exciting new options for people.
