197 www.naukaip.ru The English vocabulary cannot be harmoniously synthesized in the Russian language, since both lan- guages belong to different groups. Thus, anglicisms are subject to transformation. [4; 277] Most anglicisms get phonetically and graphically adapted. Phonetic adaptation means that a borrowed foreign word is pronounced in the recipient language differently, sometimes breaching phonetics rules of the source language. All exam- ples of borrowings above are also undergoing grammatical adaptation, which means that such categories as gender, number and case appear in most words. Most anglicisms borrowed in recent decades, mainly used on the Internet, are gradually moving from occasional words (not widely used) to neologisms, i.e. words that are coming into general use. Most of the examples are at the stage of adaptation. Foreign words transform, ac- quire Russian characteristics in terms of grammar, form derivatives. It is a complex process, so modern angli- cisms have to go through a certain way in order to become full-fledged Russian words. [5; 6-8] Borrowing increases lexical richness, and also serves as a source of new roots, word-forming elements and precise terms and is a consequence of social conditions. The number of anglicisms and americanisms (borrowings from the English language) is sometimes simply amazing, and sometimes frankly baffles the inex- perienced and unprepared listener. Many consider it catastrophic, calling it the decline of the culture of the Russian language and a complete lack of respect for its uniqueness. We believe that borrowing is a positive process, and it will last as long as there are other cultures and languages. Emergence and rooting of angli- cisms in the Russian language is inevitable due to development of relations between countries and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, it is natural. Penetration of anglicisms enriches the Russian language, makes it more flexible, concise and modern. But in order to avoid excessive use of anglicisms, one should be careful when using borrowed words and always consider appropriate situation of their use. To do so, it is rec- ommended to master lexical and semantic spheres, develop a sense of pride in the native language, respect for it and regularly improve linguistic sense.
