They com e up w ith som e new discovery a lm o s t every w e ek. T here see m s to be no end to it. So people are bound to qu e stio n w h e th e r it's rig h t o r not to delve so fa r in to n a tu re 's s e cre ts, m a n ip u la tin g g e ne tic codes and so on. B ut the n m aybe pro gre ss is alw ays scary and th a t's w h a t keeps us in te re ste d . It is c h a lle n g in g and th o u g h t-p ro v o k in g . Do you have an ythin g a g ainst a n im a l te s tin g ? I do if it's fo r th e pu rp o se s of c o s m e tic s and o th e r un n e ce ssa ry lu x u rie s . I'm not sure w h a t I th in k of te s tin g on a n im a ls fo r reasons of fin d in g cure s fo r hu m an illn e s s e s . B ut I th in k it's s o m e th in g I'd ra th e r not ta lk about, to be honest. I d o n 't fe e l c o m fo rta b le discussin g it. Is s c ie n tific pro g re ss alw ays fo r the g re a te r good? N ot necessarily. A fte r a ll, s c ie n tis ts developed the a to m bom b and a ll the e ffic ie n t new ways w e have of k illin g each other. W hat m a tte rs is th a t w e keep on q u e s tio n in g s c ie n tis ts , le ttin g th e m kn o w th a t we are g ra te fu l fo r th e ir discove ries but w ill not give th e m free rein.
