Abstract: The spring water Spring No. 8 sample was examined by the analytical laboratory method, and the results of physical and chemical analysis of water, in particular, pH, SiO2, dry residue, Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe, CO 2-, HCO , SO 2-, Cl, NO , NO , total hardness, K, indicators such as Na, Mn, Pb, Cu, Cr, Zn, Ni, Co, As, CNS, Al were determined. The results of the chemical analysis were compared with the state standards of Uzbekistan, and the spring water was found to be chemically suitable for domestic and drinking purposes.
Key words: Chemical analysis, spring water, Gallaorol district, Jizzakh region, state standards.

There is a great demand for drinking water worldwide [1]. Water is considered the basis of the life of all plants, animals, humans, and microorganisms in the world [2]. Among water sources, the importance and quality of groundwater is incomparable because it is the basis of drinking water [3]. It is clear that the spring, which is considered underground water, plays the most important role in the life of people of villages. The spring rises to the surface due to various natural forces and hydrostatic pressure [4].

Jizzakh region is considered an important agricultural and industrial region of Uzbekistan. Gallaorol district is part of this region and plays an important role in industry and agriculture. Most of Gallaorol district includes mountainous regions. Spring No. 8 is located in this area. A sample was taken from the water. The results

of the chemical analysis of the sample taken from this spring water are presented and analyzed. The pH indicator of Spring No. 8 is 7,5, which corresponds to the state standards of Uzbekistan (requirements for the quality of domestic and drinking water

  • 6.00-9.00), and it is weak alkaline. The SiO2 indicator of spring water is 2.6 mg/dm3, and the indicator is suitable in the state standards. The dry residue of spring water is 380 mg/dm3, and the state standards state that it should be 1000.0-1500.00 mg/dm3, which means that it also meets the requirements for this indicator. The amount of Ca2+ from cations is 60.1 mg/dm3, the amount of Mg2+ is 18.2 mg/dm3, Fe

  • ˂0.05 mg/dm3, and meets state standards. From anions, CO32- - ˂5.0 mg/dm3, HCO3-

- 262.3, SO 2- - 98.4, Cl - 14.18, NO - 0.04, NO - 1.1 mg/dm3, conforms to state standards. The dry residue of spring water is 4.5 mg-equiv/dm3, which meets the standard requirements.
The amount of K, Na, Mn, Pb, Cu, Cr, Zn, Ni, Co, As, CNS, Al was determined in the water of Spring No. 8 (Table 1).
