INTRODUCTION (dissertation abstract of doctor of philosophy (PhD))
The purpose of the research is to improve the technology
of cultivation of
cucumbers in open fields by the method of vertical trellis.
The object of the research is
11 varietal samples of cucumber, 6 lines of the
plant, fruits, 4 planting schemes, 3 plant ages and 3 growth substances.
The tasks of the research is as follows:
creation and selection of a variety suitable for growing cucumber in open fields
in a
vertical trellis method;
determination of the effect of growth substances in the cultivation of cucumber
in the open fields in the vertical trellis method;
determination of the effectiveness of planting cucumbers from seedlings in the
main and repeated periods of cucumber cultivation in the vertical trellis method;
to determine the optimal planting scheme for the cultivation of cucumber in open
fields by the vertical trellis method;
to study the economic efficiency of growing cucumbers
in open fields by the
vertical trellis method.
