Meet Jannat 

FROM PALESTINE… 

Jannat is a 27-year-old recent university graduate 

from Khanyounis, Palestine. Immediately following 

graduation, she was having a hard time finding 

employment, so she used her skills to become a 

consultant helping university students in their 

research and analysis. She has become quite 

skilled at providing these services. She requested 

a loan of $750 USD to purchase a new laptop that 

will allow her to work faster and more efficiently.  

 

This month, Cascade Investment Advisors decided to focus its charitable 

lending efforts to a budding entrepreneur in the Middle East... 

Palestinians face unique challenges due to the economic and political environment in the 

West Bank and Gaza. Our hope by lending to recent graduates like Jannat in Palestine 

is to help Palestinian borrowers overcome these challenges.
