Blockchain is the technology that stores information in consequent records called blocks, which are interconnected and secured with cryptography. The popularity of blockchain started with Bitcoin, the most popular cryptocurrency. Today, buying Bitcoin with PayPal is no more difficult than buying stock.
After the hype has come and gone, it will still be present in the future of information technology. Blockchain will be used for a number of reasons and solutions. Examples include medicine for secure storage of patients’ records, luxury products selling for their protection from counterfeiting, and much more.
