AB and DR are employees of the Witten/Herdecke
University and were never employed by any military organization. In 2011, AB
was appointed as a Technical Team Member of the NATO panel HFM-195 on
“Integrative Medicine Interventions for Military Personnel.” The authors disclose
any competing interests. The manuscript was approved by the German Ministry
of Defense (Reg-Nr. 2/04/12; PIII5 20 July 2018).
The remaining author declares that the research was conducted in the absence of
any commercial or financial relationships that could be construed as a potential
