and Subordinating
A 
conjunction 
joins single words or groups of words. A 
coordinating conjunction
joins
words or groups of words that have equal grammatical importance. Coordinating
conjunctions include and, but, or, nor, for, so, and yet.
I flipped the light switch, yet nothing happened.
Correlative conjunctions
work in pairs to join words and groups of words of equal
importance. Correlative conjunctions include both...and, just as...so, not only...but also,
either...or, neither...nor, and whether...or.
Either the rain will stop by noon, or we’ll reschedule the picnic.

subordinating conjunction
joins a dependent idea or clause to a main clause.
