F. MIND (каршилик килмок)

mind + noun / pronoun / gerund

mind + possessive adjective / object pronoun + gerund

mind – сурок ва булишсиз гапларда кулланилади.

Would you mind waiting a moment? (Бироз кутиб тура оласизми?)

I don’t mind walking. (I don’t object to walking.)

I don’t mind him / his living here. (He lives here & I don’t object this.)

He didn’t mind leaving home. (He left home quite happily.)

He didn’t mind Ann / Ann’s leaving home. (Ann left home and he was quite happy.)

Do you mind me/ my smoking?

I don’t mind the noise.
would you mind...? – polite request

Would you mind not smoking? (Please don’t smoke.)

Would you mind moving your car? (Please move your car.)

Would you mind lending me your book?

Would you mind turning the radio down?


would you mind + possessive adjective / object pronoun + gerund = would you mind + if + S + V _{in a past tense}

 polite query (савол)

Would you mind my borrowing your book? = Would you mind if I borrowed your

book?

Would you mind my moving your car? = Would you mind if I moved your car?

Would you mind me taking your photo? = Would you mind if I took your photo?
Юкоридаги гапларни Do you mind if… / Mind if… тарзида хам ифодалаш мумкин. У холда if дан сунг хозирги замон хам кулланиши мумкин. Яъни,

Do you mind me smoking here? = Do you mind / Mind if I smoke here?

Do you mind me using your computer? = Do you mind / Mind if I use your

computer?

G. EXPRESSION + GERUND

There is / It is no use + gerund

It is no good + gerund

 фойдаси йук

There is no use arguing any more. (Ортик тортишишнинг фойдаси йук.)

It is no use trying - no one ever gets out of here. (Харакат килишнинг фойдаси

йук.)

be worth + gerund

 бирор иш харакатни бажаришга арзимок

There is nothing worth reading in this newspaper. (Газетада укишга арзигулик хеч нарса йук.)
If you are a young, inexperienced driver, it is worth having comprehensive

insurance. (Агар сиз ёш, тажрибасиз хайдовчи булсангиз, тула сугурта

килдиришга арзийди.)

Do you think it is worth remembering that date? (Уша сана элашга арзийдими?)
