show + object + how + infinitive – бирор кимга бирор нарсани кандай бажаришни курсатмок
He showed me how to change a fuse. (not showed me to change)
The instructor showed us how to turn off a computer. (not showed us to turn off )
TELL
tell + somebody / something + infinitive = “order” ( буюрмок )
He told me to change the fuse. = He said, “Change the fuse”.
The chef told the soldiers to assemble the guns. = The captain ordered them to
assemble.
tell + somebody / something + how + infinitive = “instruct” (ургатмок / айтиб бермок)
He told me how to replace a fuse. (he gave me the necessary information or
instructions)
The chef told me how to cook. (he instructed me)
remind / show / teach / tell + somebody / something + that + S + V…
He reminded me that the road was dangerous.
He showed me that it was quite easy.
F. Инфинитив таркибидаги феълни кайтармаслик максадида to нинг узи кулланиши мумкин. Ушбу коида асосан куйдаги феъллар билан уринлидир:
hate, hope, intend, would like / love, make (passive ), mean, plan, try, want, need.
Did you get a ticket? – No, I tried to, but there weren’t any left. (to = to get a ticket )
I interrupted them although I would hate to. (to = to interrupt)
Are you going to have a sabbatical leave? – Yeah, I just intend to. (to = to have a
sabbatical leave)
Did you do all the things on your own volition? – No, I was made to. (to = to do)
Will you hire a car? – Yes, I’m planning to. (to = to hire)
Did you buy cheese? – No, I meant to but the shop was shut. (to = to buy)
