- Special Note
Lesson Activities or Tasks (aligned to TESOL Standard 3). Then choose one of the two following options: Option 1: develop a minimum of three original activities or tasks. Option 2: modify or adapt a minimum of two existing activities or tasks and develop two original activities or tasks. Note that these are minimums.
Special Note: All students must develop (from scratch) a minimum of two original activities; if you plan to modify or adapt pre-existing material, you must have at least two modified or adapted activities/tasks and two original activities/tasks. If your lesson will require more activities or tasks to address your lesson objectives, then you will need to add more original activities or tasks. If you provide the minimum number of activities or tasks but do not adequately address your lesson objectives, your assignment will be assessed as incomplete and lose points. Again, the limit for pre-existing materials (e.g., activities in textbooks, activities from a pre-created curriculum, activities from a website) is two maximum. Any pre-existing material must be clearly labeled before it appears in your lesson plan (this is to ensure that it is immediately clear what is your original work and what is pre-existing work). Material that is not labeled before it appears in the lesson plan will be treated as plagiarism. Modified activities and tasks still count as using pre-existing materials and must be clearly labeled before the activity; a short description of the kind of modification(s) made must be included (e.g., “modified from [source], all examples are original,” “modified from [source] with questions modified for the target learners”). All activities and tasks must be ordered in a way that allows for scaffolding for all learners (progressing from easier expectations to more challenging expectations; think about Krashen’s i + 1 and/or Bloom's taxonomy). You will need to justify your decisions for selection, developing, and ordering activities and tasks in your reflective summary. Any required materials need to be prepared (e.g., worksheets, handouts). Anything that you plan to write on the board or show on a slide needs to be in your lesson plan (e.g., a screenshot of your slide(s) or typed out what you plan to write on the board). Any examples of language that you plan to share need to be included in your lesson plan. Any exercises need to include an answer key. Any assessments need to include a rubric or clear grading protocol Download 41.94 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
