Gobs of Goo and Science Too! (PreK

Get elbow deep in all things ooey and gooey like slime, marshmallow 

playdoh and burping bags.  

All of the glop, slop and stink isn’t just gross; 

it’s science too!

 

STEM Works (5

th

 and 6

th

 grade)

 

  

Join us for 3 days of fun which will include creating a safe, “crash” proof car for your 

passenger Eggbert, using Makey Makey to create music and 

programming the Dash and Dot robots to follow a maze and play the 

xylophone.  In addition, experiment with LittleBits circuits to make a 

prank handshake or a flashlight.

 

Summer Sports and Fitness (1

Get ready to get moving! The camp will incorporate fitness, flexibility and 

sport themed games.  Students must wear sneakers and comfortable 

clothing. Hope to see you on the field this summer!  Max # of students per 

session is 30, and the minimum is 8. 

Science, Science Everywhere!  (PreK

It all starts with a question 

–

 How do plants grow?  How do 

hoverboards work? The answers to these questions can be found 

through scientific investigation.  We will explore the wild world of 

science through exciting, hands on activities. 

Tech Wizards  (PreK 

–

 5

th

 grade) 

Get your tech on!  Come and explore all areas of technology. Write the code 

for Colby the robotic mouse to find the cheese.  Launch a bottle rocket.  

Build an electronic keyboard using Makey Makey. Design a video game 

using Scratch.  Explore the world of robotics using Dash and Dot.

.  Late registrations will be gladly accepted, but please get them 

in as soon as possible so that we may ensure that we have enough supplies for all of the projects. 

 Payment may either be cash or a check made out to Hackettstown Elementary PTA with your phone 

number on the front. 

Registration forms and payment may be submitted two ways.  They can be dropped off at Willow 

Grove School (care of Mrs. Watters) or at Hatchery Hill School (care of Miss Munson).  They may
