table of vegetables imported (2)
The table describes how vegetable import figures in Qatar changed over a 40-year period, starting from 1980. Overall, the volume of import of all vegetables grew, though to a varying degree ( har xil darajada bo’lsa ham ), with the exception of spinach. It is also worth mentioning that while spinach was the most imported vegetable in 1980, it was garlic that ranked highest in 2020. Finally, the total import volume of vegetables in 2020 was high compared to 1980. In detail, the amount of spinach imported( import qilingan spinach ) was at an all-time high point of 500 tons in 1980 though it was 50 tons down in the next two decades. The figure for spinach continued declining, with corresponding figures being 400 and 350 tons in 2010 and 2020, respectively. In sharp contrast, the figures for broccoli and garlic rose substantially( sezilarli ). The former went gradually from 200 tons initially to 300 tons in 2020. Similarly, a 100-ton increase was recorded for garlic importation, from an initial point of 300 tons. As for the remaining figures, import figures for peas remained unchanged the first three decades, at 150 tons. They, however, grew by 10 tons in each of the last two decades. Finally, though the amount of ginger imported increased steadily until 2000, hitting a peak of 310, it virtually bounced back to its initial point of 250 tons at the end. Download 133.15 Kb.
