Step 3: Review the Software Licensing Agreement
Review the software licensing agreement and, if you agree with the terms, click 
Yes
. After installation, you can view the license agreement in the file 
license.txt
located in the top level of your MATLAB installation directory.
Step 4: Enter Your Name and Company Name
Enter your name and your company name in the Customer Information 
dialog box and click Next. 
Step 5: Select the Products You Want to Install
The installer displays the Product List dialog box. If you click Next, the 
installer starts installing all the products and documentation you are licensed 
to install into the default directory (
C:\MATLAB6p1
). You can use this dialog box 
to customize many aspects of your MATLAB installation, including:
• “Specifying the Installation Directory” on page 1-11
• “Selecting and Deselecting Products” on page 1-11
• “Installing Documentation” on page 1-12
• “Updating Your License File” on page 1-12
• “Creating a Read-Only Installation” on page 1-13
Note Before you select any products for installation, the installer asks if you 
want to connect to the MathWorks Web site, 
www.mathworks.com
, to see if 
more up-to-date versions of the products you are installing, or new products 
that were released after the CD was produced, are available there. The 
installer provides a list of these new and updated products at the end of the 
installation. You must go to the Web site after the installation is complete to 
download the new or updated products. The installer does not download the 
new or updated products.
