Step 4: Enter Your Name and Company Name
Enter your name and your company name in the Customer Information 
dialog box and click Next. 
Step 5: Select the Products You Want to Install
If you are only installing the license manager, select it in the Product List 
dialog box, deselect all the other products, and click Next. The installer starts 
installing the license manager in the default directory 
C:
\
MATLAB6p1\flexlm
.
If you are also installing MATLAB on your license server, select the license 
manager and leave the other products selected in the Product List dialog box 
and click Next. The installer starts installing all the products you are licensed 
to install in the default directory, 
C:\MATLAB6p1
.

You do not have to install the license manager on client systems in local client 
access configurations. See “Installing MATLAB on a Client System” on 
page 2-19 for more information.
You can also use the Product List dialog box to customize many aspects of the 
installation, including:
• “Specifying the Installation Directory” on page 2-14
• “Selecting Products” on page 2-14
• “Installing Documentation” on page 2-14
• “Creating a Read-Only Installation” on page 2-15
Note Before you select products, the installer asks if you want to connect to 
the MathWorks Web site, 
www.mathworks.com
, to see if more up-to-date 
versions of the products you are installing, or new products that were released 
after the CD was produced, are available there. The installer provides a list of 
these new and updated products at the end of the installation. You must go to 
the Web site after the installation is complete to download the new or updated 
products. The installer does not download the new or updated products.
