Describe and illustrate how contemporary issues, especially sustainable development and the environment, interact with land use
Select and justify the use of evidence to support differing viewpoints on a range of issues affecting land use and the environment
Examine the relationships between different sustainability and environmental concerns and stakeholder viewpoints.
Draw conclusions on the potential for impact of any existing or possible future policies and or recommendations

Marking criteria

‘Assessment’ will be marked in accordance with the RAU generic marking criteria, and the following specific marking criteria:
The standard and accuracy of relevant technical knowledge used to answer each question.
The standard of the application of relevant technical knowledge to appropriate arguments in the context of each of the questions.
The degree to which each answer addresses the related question.
The standard of presentation, which should be clear, articulate, and easily followed, and in full compliance with the Assessment Brief.

ASSESSMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Introduction and background information to the 3 questions that you are required to answer
You should consider that you are writing about global issues of sustainable development. However, some questions specifically about agriculture and land uses. In some cases, your answers are required to address questions about Uzbekistan. Questions can be answered using the lectures and the readings posted in the Readings folder. You may also use other sources. You must cite your sources when you are writing about what others have written.
