Cont… - The study will have mixed sampling design. Systematic sampling will be used. It comes under the mixed sampling design. This sampling possesses the features of both random and non-random sampling designs. Firstly, the width of the interval (k) is determined systematically by dividing all the elements of population (N) with the decided sample size to be taken (n). Secondly, an element is selected from the first interval by using simple random sampling (SRS) and then the same order for selecting the elements from remaining intervals is followed (Kumar, 2018).
Cont… - In this study 40 discourses of Muslim scholars will be taken as sample size from the study population. The Width of interval will be 5. From the interval of 5 elements, one element will be selected by employing simple random sampling technique; whatever the order of that selected element is will be followed to select one element from each interval.
- This study will be majorly qualitative in nature. For seeking answer of Question No 1 and achieving objective 1, thematic analysis approach (Cresswell, 2013) will be used to uncover the reformative and moderate themes from the religious discourse Muslim scholars. The question 1 of this study is as follows: How far is the religious discourse of Muslim scholars moderate in nature having themes of moderation such as inter-faith harmony, religious tolerance, peace, human dignity, and religious pluralism? and the objective 1 of this study is as follows: Uncover the moderate themes such as inter-faith harmony, religious tolerance, peace, human dignity, and religious pluralism in the religious discourse of Muslim scholars.
Diagrammatic Representation of Thematic Analysis (Creswell, 2013). Cont... - Figure 3.6 illustrates that thematic analysis is carried out step by step. The First step is to collect data. Secondly, transcription of data is done. At the third level, the data is interpreted. Finally, the data is codified through labels and emerging themes are discussed.
