The course module has provided you preliminary knowledge and basic skills in computer 
technology that are considered mandatory in today’s workplace.
You have been introduced to the hardware/software components of the computer system, with 
emphasis on the physical and operational aspects of the computer. You have been introduced 
to the basic components of the Computer System (Software and Hardware), the general 
construction and relationship between the basic components, history of the Internet and 
selected software applications.
The module is the foundation for those who wish to pursue their studies in computer science 
and information technology and is a pre-requisite for the subsequent modules in the 
programme.
