Investment activity

Direct investments — long-term capital placements of funds di­rectly in manufacturing of some production including purchase, estab­lishment or enlarging funds of the enterprise (affiliate) and also all other operations related either to the establishing (strengthening) con­trol over the company or to the enlarging activity of the company. Direct investments provide investors with the control over invested manufacturing.

Financial investments — international credit and financial activity including operations with securities.

Investment activity — a number of practical measures of the gov­ernment, legal persons and sitizens on the realization of investments. Investment company — a type of credit-financial institutions which accumulate monetary funds of the private investors by releasing own securities and place them in the shares and bonds of the domes­tic and foreign enterprises. In the capital market investment compa­nies act as institutional investors. Like investment banks they act as intermediary between a borrower and an institutional investor but they thoroughly represent interests of the latter one.
