Mathematics dates back to prehistoric times. That is, the first abstract mathematical
concept is a natural number. The widespread development of mathematics was marked by
great advances in geometry in ancient Greece. The emergence of mathematics played an
important role in solving various practical problems, such as trade, land distribution,
construction, and time measurement.
The medieval Islamic world played a special role in the development of mathematics.
Unlike the Greek, it was more mathematical. Mathematics is mainly used in trade,
professions, construction, geography, astronomy and astrology, mechanics, optics and
hockey. widely used in the cultural center of the Islamic world is Baghdad, where scholars
and scholars of various nationalities gather at the Bayt al-Hikma.
Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi is a famous Central Asian Muslim
mathematician, astronomer, astrologer, geographer, and encyclopedist. According to some
sources, he was a Persian.
He came and was born in Khorezm in 780 and died in 850. Al-Khwarizmi worked as a
scholar at the Bayt al-Hikma in Baghdad.
His Algebra is the first book on the systematic solution of linear and quadratic
equations. For this reason, he was given the title of "father of the science of algebra" like
Diophantus. His Latin translation of Arithmetic on Indian Numbers introduced decimal
numbers to the Western world in the 12th century. Al-Khwarizmi reviewed and updated
Batlimus's Geography, and he himself wrote a number of works on astronomy and
astrology.
