7 Core competencies of CBC
The creators of the competency-based curriculum envision that at the end of the learning period, every learner should have achieved the following competencies
Communication and collaboration
Learners are expected to interpret and express themselves through a variety of media. 
They participate in critical dialogue, listen, read, view and create for information, enrichment and enjoyment. 
They are clear, empathetic, patient, and responsible.
2. Critical thinking and problem solving
Learners are expected to come up with solutions to any problem that come their way
3. Imagination and creativity
Learners are expected to demonstrate openness to new experiences; engage in creative processes, make unexpected connections, and generate new and dynamic ideas, techniques, and products. They appreciate the creative and imaginative work of others.
4. Citizenship
Learners are expected to contribute to the quality and sustainability of their communities, environment, and society. These are able to analyze cultural, environmental, economic, and social issues, make decisions, and judgments, solve problems and act as stewards in a local, national and global context.
5. Learning to learn
Learners are expected to gain knowledge and skills, understanding through experience, study, and interactions with others. They understand own multiple intelligence and learning styles, manage their own learning, value individual strengths and set goals. Learners who know how to learn are confident, reflective, life-long learners, resourceful, and self-reliant.
6. Self-efficacy
Learners are expected to become self-aware and self-directed who set and pursue goals. They make thoughtful decisions, regarding their health and well-being, finance and career pathway. They are committed, confident, goal-oriented, healthy self-aware, self-reliant individuals
7. Digital literacy
Learners are expected to use and apply technology to collaborate, communicate, be analytical, creative, create, innovate, and solve problems. They use technology in a legal, safe, and ethically responsible manner to support and enhance learning.
