1. To take after someone. This means to look or act similar to someone in your family. "Lauren really takes after her Dad. They are both tall and blonde."
2. To bring someone up. The process of looking after a child until it is an adult. 'I was brought up by my Grandmother.'
3. If you look up to someone it means you respect and admire that person. "He always looked up to his older brother. He followed him everywhere and wanted to be just like him."
