The objectives of the lesson:


Educational:


-to teach kids common senses;
-to improve pupils` pronunciation and boost their vocabulary;


Developing:

- to encourage pupils to learn name of the senses


-to help them develop free-speaking aptitudes and enrich their vocabulary


Socio-cultural:

- to raise awareness of ways of correctly defining the feelings and senses.


- toprovide the opportunity of expressing themselves in a public environment by giving them individual turns.


Learning outcomes:


-the lesson paves the way of cultivating learners’ make-believe and enrich their everyday vocabulary range in a more simplistic way;


Methods of the lesson: direct interactivegroup work, pair work (individual, teacher-pupil, pupil-teacher, whole class)


Equipments: Teens's English1 Student`s book, workbook, the DVD of the book, vocabulary illustrated flashcards, worksheets and interesting colourful pictures.
The procedure of the lesson



  1. Organizing period: 5 minutes


Teacher starts the lesson with greeting the pupils.
Good morning everyone?How are you? Are you ready to the lesson?
How do you feel today?
Today we will talk about the five senses..



  1. Main part of the lesson:



Materials: "Teens's English1" Unit 5. Lesson 2 page 66


How do you feel now ?– 7 minutes

  • Introducing the new topic and previewing relevant vocabulary so that the class is able to recognize the words during the activity sessions.

  • Introduce the topic of the senses. Say Look around the classroom. What can you see?(Students name different items.) Then say Now close your eyes. What can you

  • hear? Students listen as you perform a few tasks for them to identify just by listening, e.g., open the door or clap your hands. Then say Put your hands on your desks.

  • What can you feel? Students move their hands over their desks, still with their eyes closed, identifying things they can touch.



Activity 1 . 10 minutes.Students shuld find the name of senses and which thing they can hear


smell , taste , see or touch .Work with partner .

Objective: Students can learn name of the senses


Material: handout 1
Teacher: Show handout and explain how to fill this sheet .



Activity 2: - 15 minutes. In each box draw a line to match the object to the correct word describing the sense.


Objective:To introduce a range of adjectives describing the weather


Material: Handout 1


Teacher: Teacher shows and explains presentation to the pupils



Activity 3: - 10 minutes. Listen and match . Find the correct option .

Objective: To study the use of sense with body parts.




Material: Handout 1


Teacher: Read out the phrases and elicit their translation

The summary part of the lesson:


Assessment – 3 minutes


Teacher: Praise all students and in particular the active ones

To evaluate the pupils based on their active participation during the lesson and build a childish interaction so that the class can feel motivated for the upcoming classes.


Setting home assignments - 3 minutes


Teacher gives the explanation of the pupil’s homework


Ask the pupils to open their Workbooks at Page 54
