Queen bans plastic from Royal estates after chatting with Sir DavidAttenborough.
According to The Telegraph, Her Majesty has outlined major new plans that*aim to* completely scrap superfluous *plastic waste*, such as straws anddisposable bottles.
Buckingham Palace told the paper that there was a ‘*strong* desire to tacklethe issue at the highest levels of the Royal household.
They are apparently going to gradually phase out the use of plastic straws inpublic cafes, and ban them outright in staff dining rooms.
Internal caterers at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and the Palace ofHolyroodhouse in Edinburgh will now use china glasses and plates, orrecyclable paper cups.
The Royal Collection cafes will also now have to use compostable orbiodegradable packaging* for any takeaway food or drink items.
