Hometown 
 
1) What’s (the name of) your hometown and where is it? 
- Victoria is my hometown. It is a province located in the west of my country. 
2) Is that a big city or a small place? 
- It is a small province with slightly more than 1 million people. 
- It’s actually a big city and crowded with people in peak hours. More than 5 
million people live where I stay. 
- 
It is a big city, with a twenty-four-hour culture. It has a reputation as a party 
place, with many people travelling to visit the restaurants, bars and 
nightclubs in the city. 
3) Tell me about your hometown. 
- It has a breathtaking view of picturesque landscapes with rolling 
mountains and greenish lakes. However, due to the increasing economy, a 
number of businesses, especially in sugarcane, are invested in my 
hometown making it very promising. 
- It has so many historical places to visit. I can say my town as a touristic 
spot. Anybody visits my town will definitely want to stay here at least two 
days. 
- It’s an industrial city which has many opportunities for employers to work. 
There are department stores, shopping malls and cinemas around.
- You can barely see anything attractive. Truth be told, it’s not the right place 
for tourists. However, one can enjoy watching the view.

It is a big city in the North of England, with galleries, theatres and nightlife. It 
is a popular place for students, as there are two universities. Shopping and

eating out are part of the lifestyle, with many places to go. In the surrounding 
areas, there are many historical places to visit.

This is a large town with a very large number of people living there. The 
town has two main parts: old town and modern town. The old town reflects 
the traditional building, old ways of businesses and life and that will give you 
an impression of the history of this town. On the other hand, the new part, 
which is in the northern part of the town, has gone through numerous 
developments in the last few years and it is usually a busy part. People are 
amiable, educated and they live in peace and harmony, which is the most 
attractive part of our town, in my opinion. The city has a small area which is 
occupied by tea gardens and has a small river and many fountains. This is 
the most beautiful part of our town. Overall, my town is beautiful and it is a 
good place to live in.
