mother tongue has more similarities to the target language are likely to find it easier to acquire than
other speakers whose mother tongue is more “distant linguistically” (pp. 8-9).

state that “Arabic
is a cursive system; it includes only words written in combined forms of letters.
To illustrate, the Arabic equivalent
word of the English word study is سردي,
which is formed of the
