5.4. RECOMMENDATIONS 
As concerning with the points of discussion that have not 
been touched in this thesis, we would like to give a number of 
suggestions on further investigations into following domains: 
Firstly, as we found out in the graduation paper, metaphor is 
the most frequently used stylistic device in English newspaper 
headlines. Therefore, it is really useful to carry out a research with 
the topic “An investigation into the use metaphor in political 
speeches by the US presidents” in which metaphor will be more 
thoroughly analyzed and categorized. 
Secondly, a comparison between stylistic devices in English 
political speeches and those in Vietnamese political speeches is also 
suggested as a topic for a graduation paper.
