ERASMUS MUNDUS Admissions

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for the Scholarship Program. I believe my motivation can be better understood out of my studies and professional experience but most of all, a genuine interest in the development Irrigation Systems and a raising need to take an active role in the strategies to develop them.
Nowadays, Uzbekistan is one of the agricultural countries in the world and the problem of water supply in Uzbekistan is the one provocative question. Moreover, the climate change has done more disasters than flourish. For instance, the Aral Sea disaster is still unsolvable and this is making disproportionate shortage in development of agriculture in Uzbekistan. Since, in order to keep this sea alive, we need to make more implements, which can effect on changes positively. These did not only result in the Western areas of Uzbekistan, but also in Northern and Eastern fronts.
When I was 14 years-old, one unbelievable event happened. My uncle who had enough large farming lands and had been continuing this business for several generations once gave up his business because of the shortage in water supply. Therefore, this situation made me inspired for choosing my future profession. So long, I am planning to create innovations for my country and, of course, willing to help my uncle to recreate his ancestor business. In order to fulfill my ideas, I need to know about international standards and innovations of Irrigation and Melioration.
I hold a four-year bachelor's degree in Hydro-Melioration from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration (TIIM). During my studies at the Institute, I discovered new front of Irrigation and Melioration and understood that our agriculturehas lack of new modernized watering methods farming lands. For instance, the method of drip irrigation is well developed in Western countries and if this method is also hugely developed in Uzbekistan, it can show unbelievable shortage in waste water. Indeed, this will lead to flourish of Uzbek agriculture. Still, it is one of the most expensive ways and my plan is to make it more reasonable for my countries condition. Moreover, the factories that produce these drip-watering techniques can be built in the area of Uzbekistan, if possible.
In addition, thanks to the Goethe Institute in Tashkent, I had the opportunity to attend to German teacher’s classes. During my 2 years of study German Language, I got to meet people from Germany, attend classes from excellent professors and got to know an amazing country. It was a very rewarding time, which gave me a completely new perspective on life and of course on my career. In addition, I hope that my knowing German will help me in the future to exchange new ideas and knowledge with European countries.
I can ensure that I can completely be chosen as reliable candidate for your program, because I can foresee my perspective future can be improved forward by my hard working challenges.
