I decided to become a doctor because I want to help people. I will treat patients. I will examine my patients, diagnose and begin the correct treatment. I want to work in a public hospital because there are too many patients and there are very few doctors to treat them. I want to help all people, rich or poor, all patients are equal for me. In a public hospital, everything is almost free, but in a private hospital, patients have to pay for everything: for a medical examination, for treatment, for medicines, for operations.
In India the ambulance service is very good and very fast. We have a free ambulance service, you only need to call 108. India has the largest population in the world, we are the 2nd most populous in the world.
India now needs a large number of doctors, especially in rural areas. There are many diseases in India that are not present in Europe, such as malaria, dengue and chikungunia, these diseases are spread by mosquito bites, and mosquitoes are mainly found in villages, so more attention is needed in the villages for the safety of people.
It is too difficult to become a doctor in India, students have to pass the NEET entrance exam to enter a medical university. On this exam, students are expected to score more than 550 out of 720 points, and students entering a private university must pay a very high tuition fee. I decided to become a doctor when I was in school, and that was also my parents' dream. I am the first doctor in the family. I also have a dream, I want to complete my medical degree, then I will get my PhD, then I will go home, take the MCI exam, and then start working in India. My parents are expecting me, because I am the eldest child of my parents, they expect a lot from me.
