REFLECTIVE WRITING ON STUDY PRACTICE

NAME: NURIDDINOVA YULDUZ

This essay will tell the experience, knowledge and feedback from the teaching


practices. I will explain the process that I went through, and what I did to have a
chance to improve my teaching.
Teaching is a one of the most complicated jobs nowadays. It demands enthusiasm,
knowledge a caring attitude and many other thing that comes with this profession.
I think a good teacher is a person that is able to explain and teach any topic,
subject or language. It is capable of identify needs and problems that students
might have or experience during the learning process.
Definitely is a person capable of understand the other position or other students'
position, Techers need to be patient and neutral for some situations in order to
keep the teaching process. It is a person who dedicates time for other people and
is happy doing it. For me to become a great teacher, I need to have cleared my
aims or objectives, have effective lesson plans, needs analysis from my students
and be able to continue learning and keep updated. I need to be organized.
Strengths and Weaknesses During my first teaching practice, I was so worried
about the time and about if students asked something that I did not to answer.
Definitely something this is a big weakness, but we as teachers experienced this
situation and I understand that is not wrong to don't know something at the
We have such an opportunity. We followed a month-long internship at a school
designated by our university to help 3rd year students further their knowledge,
experience, and skills. We gained a lot of knowledge and skills during the course.
How the teacher behaves in the process of observing the lessons, how to interact
with the students, how to control them, how the teacher shares his knowledge
with the students, how to teach in the classroom and I learned more about the need to use the methods. We followed the teachers for a month. We followed
lessons in grades 5-6-7. The lessons were very well organized. The teachers
explained the topics very well. It was mandatory to wear a uniform at school.
School leaders, teachers and students always wear uniforms. Students actively
participated in the lessons. In addition to English lessons, we also followed other
subjects to study methods. In order to explain the topic to the students, the
teachers prepared various exhibitions and presentations for the lesson. As a
result, students interest in the lesson increased. The teachers followed the rules
of the lesson, as did the students. The cleanliness of the classroom was also very
good and tidy.
The room is decorated with exhibits. There were a lot of fun activities and games
during the class. During the internship, I taught students together with an English
teacher. So we prepared a lesson for the students ourselves. The demonstration
lesson was supervised by our intern, the school's English teachers.
During this internship, I learned to observe, plan and teach, evaluate work, talk to
teachers, and work with small group students. This gave me valuable insight into a
number of important issues related to teaching. For example, the issue of
developing an appropriate curriculum for children aged 11 to 16 years. They need
to use something that suits them. I think what we taught in English was useful for
all the students. So during my 1 month internship, I learned a lot from the
teachers and I really enjoyed it.
